Meet Our Team
Clint Berdeen, DVM
Dr. Clint Berdeen graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. In 2006, he and his wife, Nancy, fulfilled their dream of owning a veterinary practice when they purchased Pointe South Animal Hospital. Since then, Dr. Berdeen has been proud to serve the pets and families of Randleman and the surrounding communities with compassionate, high-quality veterinary care.
When he's not caring for patients, Dr. Berdeen enjoys spending time with his wife, Nancy, their three children, and their many pets. His hobbies include maintaining saltwater aquariums, working on the family's small farm, and staying active at the gym. He is grateful for the opportunity to build lasting relationships with the families and pets he serves every day.
Anne Highley, DVM
Dr. Highley graduated from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and joined the Pointe South Animal Hospital team in 2013. Since then, she has been dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care while building lasting relationships with her patients and their families. Her commitment to veterinary medicine and genuine love for animals make her a trusted advocate for the pets in our community.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Highley enjoys spending time outdoors, running with her fiancé, Aaron, and making memories with their family. They also love spending time on the water and boating whenever they have the opportunity. At home, they share their lives with two cats, Henry and Oliver, and a dog named Norman. While she loves caring for all of her patients, orange cats hold a special place in her heart and are among her favorites to treat. Dr. Highley's combination of expertise, compassion, and enthusiasm for animal care makes her an invaluable member of the PSAH team
Paloma, Veterinary Assistnat/Receptionist —Hablo español
Paloma joined PSAH in July 2026 and has quickly become a valued member of the team. She is currently attending Central Carolina Community College, where she is working toward her degree in Veterinary Technology.
Originally from Asheboro, Paloma lives with her family and their five dogs. Her personal "heart dog" is Eevee, who holds a special place in her life.
When she's not at work or studying, Paloma enjoys spending time with friends and knitting. At PSAH, her favorite parts of the job are working alongside her teammates, talking with clients about their beloved pets, and, of course, caring for all of the patients who come through the hospital.
Nancy Berdeen, Registered Vet Tech/Practice Manager
Nancy graduated from Blue Ridge Community College in Virginia with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 1990. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of areas within veterinary medicine, gaining extensive experience in animal care. Before purchasing Pointe South Animal Hospital with her husband, Dr. Clint Berdeen, in 2006, Nancy worked as a surgical technician in Greensboro. She is passionate about helping pets live healthier lives and supporting the people who love them. Outside of work, Nancy enjoys spending time with her family, including Dr. Berdeen, their three grown children, and their many beloved pets.
Caylin, Registered Veterinary Technician
Caylin lives in Liberty, North Carolina, where she and her family enjoy life on a small beef farm. Growing up on a farm fostered her lifelong love of animals and inspired her career in veterinary medicine. Caylin first joined the PSAH team in 2013 while she was still in high school. After graduating from Central Carolina Community College's Veterinary Technician program and becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician, she returned to PSAH to continue her career caring for animals.
At PSAH, Caylin combines her professional training with a genuine passion for animal care, helping provide compassionate, high-quality care to our patients every day. Her knowledge, dedication, and love for animals make her a valued member of our team.
Outside of work, Caylin enjoys spending time with her husband and their two sons, as well as caring for their dogs, horses, and cats. Whether she's at home on the farm or caring for patients at the hospital, Caylin's commitment to animal well-being shines through in everything she does
Emma, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Emma is a North Carolina native who earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a minor in Nutrition from North Carolina State University. She also holds a master's degree in Veterinary Forensics from the University of Florida. Emma is passionate about animal health and welfare and is dedicated to expanding her knowledge and skills as she works toward her goal of attending veterinary school in the future.
At PSAH, Emma enjoys helping care for patients and supporting the bond between pets and their families. Her strong educational background, compassion, and commitment to animal well-being make her a valued member of our team.
When she's not at work, Emma loves spending time with her husband, family, and church community. She is especially fond of spending time on her family's farm, where she helps care for their dogs, cats, horses, and cows. Emma enjoys the rewards of country living and being surrounded by animals, and her passion for their care extends far beyond the workplace. Her dedication to animal welfare and love for the rural lifestyle make her an excellent advocate for the pets and families she serves.
Celena, Registered Vet Tech/Inventory Manager
Celena joined the Pointe South Animal Hospital team in 2020. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician who graduated from Gaston College in 2009 and has been working in veterinary medicine for more than 15 years. Her experience, knowledge, and dedication to patient care make her an invaluable member of our team.
At home, Celena shares her life with three cats, Whisper, Sugar, and Luna, as well as two dogs, Yennefer and Merry. When she's not at work, she enjoys baking, crafting, and spending time with her family.
Anna, Registered Vet Tech
Anna joined the PSAH team in 2024. She graduated from Central Carolina Community College with a degree in Veterinary Technology and is passionate about helping pets and the families who love them. Anna shares her home with her beloved pets, Dooney, Ellie, and Xena. She enjoys learning new things and continually expanding her knowledge in veterinary care. Outside of work, Anna enjoys rock climbing and spending time with friends.
Bonnie, Veterinary Assistant/receptionist
Bonnie has called Randleman home since 2019 and says it is her favorite place she has ever lived. She graduated from Harcum College in Pennsylvania in 2006 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Bonnie lives with her husband, their two children, one dog, four cats, and a flock of chickens. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach, and getting lost in a good book.
Savanna, Kennel Attendant
Savanna joined the Pointe South Animal Hospital team in 2024. A graduate of Uwharrie Charter Academy, she also earned a certificate in Veterinary Assisting from Randolph Community College. Savanna is passionate about animal care and enjoys helping pets live happy, healthy lives.
Outside of work, Savanna enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, River and Lola. Her love for animals and dedication to their well-being make her a valued member of the PSAH team.
Natalie, Kennel Attendant
Natalie is a North Carolina native and a graduate of Randolph Early College High School. She plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the fall and hopes to pursue veterinary school after completing her undergraduate studies. Her passion for animals and dedication to learning make her an exciting addition to the veterinary field.
Natalie lives with her family and her beloved dog, Buddy. When she's not at work or studying, she enjoys playing the guitar and spending quality time with family and friends.
Cheree, Veterinary Assistant
Cheree joined PSAH in 2015 while she was still in high school and has been a valued member of our team ever since. She lives in Randleman with her husband, their son, and an assortment of beloved dogs and cats.
Cheree is passionate about helping our patients and their families, and she spends most of her days in our surgery suite assisting with procedures and ensuring pets remain safe and comfortable while under anesthesia. Her dedication and attention to detail help provide the highest level of care for every patient.
When she's not at work, Cheree enjoys spending time with her family and pets, as well as being outdoors whenever she can. Her love for animals and commitment to their well-being make her an essential part of the PSAH team.
In Memory of Myra 1963-2025
Myra was an integral part of the PSAH family, serving our clients and their pets with compassion and dedication for more than 29 years. Throughout her career, she touched countless lives with her extensive knowledge, unwavering commitment, and wonderful sense of humor. Clients and coworkers alike relied on her experience and appreciated the genuine care she showed to every pet and family she encountered.
Myra's passion for veterinary medicine and the relationships she built over the years helped shape PSAH into what it is today. Her kindness, dedication, laughter, and love for this profession left a lasting impact on our team and community. She is deeply missed each and every day, and her legacy continues to inspire us in the care we provide to our patients and their families.
Martha, Veterinary Receptionist
Martha has been a valued member of the PSAH team since 2012. As one of the first people to greet you when you walk through our doors, she enjoys building relationships with clients and helping answer questions about their pets. Her friendly personality and dedication to customer service help make every visit a positive experience.
When she's not at work, Martha loves spending time with her husband and their many animals, including dogs, cats, a horse, and chickens. Together, they enjoy fishing and spending time out on the water whenever they can. Martha's passion for animals and commitment to helping both pets and their families make her an important part of the PSAH team.
Lillie, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Lillie joined PSAH in 2025. Raised in Julian, she has always dreamed of attending veterinary school and pursuing a career working with animals. She lives in Randleman with her fiancé, their daughter, and their four dogs. Lillie brings patience, compassion, and a great sense of humor to her work every day, helping create a positive experience for both clients and coworkers. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling with her family.
Hannah, Kennel Attendant/Receptionist
Hannah joined PSAH in July 2025 and quickly discovered a passion for animal care. She is dedicated to providing every pet with the love, compassion, and exceptional care they deserve. Hannah is currently training at our front desk! Originally from Ohio, Hannah has called North Carolina home for the past seven years.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as singing, performing, shopping, and caring for her own furry family members, which include two dogs and two cats. One of her favorite parts of working at PSAH is building bonds and connecting with each pet she meets, making every day both rewarding and meaningful.
Kaia, Veterinary Receptionist
Kaia joined the Pointe South Animal Hospital team in June 2021. Originally from Minnesota, she has called North Carolina home for more than 10 years. Kaia is passionate about caring for animals and loves making sure every pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for during their visit.
Kaia lives with her family, one dog, and two cats. When she's not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dog, drawing, and reading. Known for her friendly personality and bright smile, Kaia loves getting to know our clients and their pets. She's always happy to greet you at the door and is known for spoiling her patients with plenty of extra love and attention!
Reese, Veterinary Assistant
Reese joined the Pointe South Animal Hospital team in August 2021. A graduate of Randleman High School, she has been part of the PSAH family for years. Growing up, Reese spent a lot of time at the hospital while her mother worked here as a Veterinary Assistant, giving her an early appreciation for veterinary medicine and animal care.
Reese is the proud pet parent of a cat named Thelma Lou. She enjoys helping care for the pets and their families who walk in our doors. Whether she's assisting with patients in the exam room, helping the doctors or greeting clients at the front desk, Reese is always ready to help with a smile. Her cheerful personality, compassionate nature, and willingness to answer questions make her a favorite among both our clients and their pets.
Jessica, kennel Attendant/Veterinary Assistant
Jessica is a graduate of Alamance Community College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Animal Care. Her education and passion for animals help her provide exceptional care for the pets who stay with us while boarding at Pointe South Animal Hospital. She enjoys caring for our patients while they board as well as assisting the doctors in rooms when needed.
Jessica shares her home with her husband and four cats. When she's not at work, she enjoys traveling with her husband, crafting, and caring for her garden. Her love of animals and dedication to their well-being make her a valued member of the PSAH
Anika, Veterinary Assistant
Anika has been a valued member of the Pointe South Animal Hospital team since September 2020. She graduated from Central Carolina Community College's Veterinary Technology program in May 2020 and is passionate about providing excellent care for her patients. One of Anika's favorite parts of working at PSAH is building relationships with clients and getting to know their beloved pets.
Outside of work, Anika enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, and caring for her two cats, Olive and Opal. Her friendly personality and dedication to animal care make her an important part of the PSAH family.
